Atrial fibrillation is the most common cardiac arrhythmia. The heart is completely out of rhythm, the atria and chambers of the heart beat in different rhythms. Treatment with minimally invasive surgery can significantly improve the patient's quality of life. Closing the left atrial appendage, is also said to prevent the dreaded complication of stroke while eliminating the need for blood thinners.
