New Cardiologist with Swiss Ablation

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Yves Sunier, specialist in internal medicine and cardiology (FMH), to our team with immediate effect! With his many years of experience and expertise in cardiology, he enriches our heart team and is now available to our patients.

After his extensive training in surgery, internal medicine and intensive care medicine, he specialized in cardiology at Zurich University Hospital. This broad and well-founded training makes him a true expert in his field. 

Dr. Sunier is particularly valued for his ability to communicate complex cardiological topics in a clear and understandable way - a talent that has earned him the trust and recognition of his patients. 

Prevention is very important to him: Dr. Sunier places particular emphasis on early preventive examinations and tailored check-ups in order to detect and treat cardiovascular diseases in good time. His aim is to maintain the long-term health of his patients so that they remain active and vital into old age. 

In addition to his passion for cardiology, Dr. Sunier is an avid outdoor sportsman and enjoys recharging his batteries by running and enjoying nature - a perfect balance between his profession and personal health. 

With his multilingual skills in German, English and French, he is available to a wide range of patients and offers individual advice and treatment tailored to their needs.

New 2024 atrial fibrillation Guidelines

New guidelines for the treatment of atrial fibrillation The European practice guidelines for the management of atrial fibrillation have been updated four years after the previous update. A further focus on the treatment of concomitant diseases is a new feature. The role of surgical and hybrid ablation has been emphasised. Prof Salzberg, as a member of the EACTS, contributed to this document.
